Louise Mary Warnes Miller, 90, of Casselberry, Florida, passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at her daughter’s home, surrounded by family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who never met a stranger, and who pointed everyone she knew to Jesus.
Born on a farm outside Hamilton, New York, Louise worked her way through college to become a teacher. After college, she embarked on a cross-country youth hostel tour of the west coast and Canada. Then she traveled across the world to teach the children of American servicemen in Japan and England.
It was at Burtonwood Air Force Base in England that she met Robert Miller, a maintenance officer who would become her husband of 50 years. Their three daughters were born in Cocoa Beach, Florida, where Bob worked with the space program. They moved to Casselberry, Florida in 1970, where they joined the Community United Methodist Church. Louise was active in the life of her church for 50 years, and served as a Sunday School teacher for nearly 20. She also served as a Girl Scout leader.
Louise is predeceased by her Husband, Robert H. Miller and Grandson, Chad Pughe. She is survived by her Daughters, Karen (Tom) Losinger of Marietta, GA, Gina (Rick) Pughe of Eustis, FL, and Lisa (David) Lang of Mount Dora, FL; Brother, Fred Warnes of Endicott, NY; 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Services will be held at the Community United Methodist Church, Casselberry on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 10:30 AM. Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Community United Methodist Church, 321 Piney Ridge Road, Casselberry, FL 32707. Online Guestbook available at
