Leo Thomas Gilbert Sr.

Leo Thomas Gilbert, Sr., 91, of Fruitland Park, passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2022. Born in Colquitt, Georgia, he moved to Florida in 1951. He was a grower for ferneries and was a member of the Eagles Nest Baptist Church, Fruitland Park. Leo loved the outdoors and fishing was his passion. He was loved by everyone who's lives he touched. He was independent right up until he passed. He loved growing plants and deeply loved his family. He was very dedicated to his Church and he loved his Church family. He was a loved father and grandfather. He is survived by his son, Leo Thomas (Kay) Gilbert, Jr. of Kerrville, TX; daughter, Glenda G. (Jerry) Carrier of Leesburg, FL; 3 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
