Laverne A. McCarthy

Laverne A. McCarthy, 82, of Montverde, passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2013. Born in Montverde, Florida, she was a lifelong of Central Florida. She was a Splicer with Martin-Marietta Aerospace before her retirement. Laverne loved gardening and entertaining her family at home, She also enjoyed vacationing in the mountains of North Carolina. She was of Baptist faith. She is survived by her Daughters, Jennifer S. Smith of Montverde, Penny McCarthy of Orlando, and Kelly M. McCourt of Clermont; Brothers, Clarence E. Harden of Eustis, David D. Harden of Montverde, Carey A. Harden of Montverde, Roddy Harden of Ocoee and Joe Harden of Umatilla; Sisters, Jean Gonzales and Linda Carnell both of Montverde; 4 Grandchildren and 6 Great-Grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at the Montverde Cemetery, Montverde, FL on Saturday, June 29, 2013 at 11:00 AM.
