Laura Kennedy Short, 49, of Mount Dora, passed away Sunday, July 25, 2021. Born in Jacksonville, Florida, she moved to Mount Dora in 2016 from Gainesville, Florida. She was a Certified Nursing Assistant. Laura was an active member of First Baptist Church, Mount Dora where she directed the Medical Ministry. Laura is survived by her husband, Rick Short, Mount Dora, FL; father, Frank Kennedy, Jacksonville, FL; mother, Brenda Kennedy, Apopka, FL; mother-in-love, Betty Jean Markel, Fort Drum, FL. Services will be held at First Baptist Church, Mount Dora on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at 11:00 AM. The family will receive friends at the Church prior to the service from 10:00 till 11:00 AM.
