Larry H. Bowerman, 67, of Grand Island, passed away Wednesday, May 5, 2010. Born in Rochester, New York, he moved to Grand Island in 2001 from Canandaigua, NY. He retired at age 49 as a Mill Right Machinist from Kodak in Rochester, NY. He piloted small planes and was a founding member of the Sky Rovers Flying Club. Larry also belonged to Canandaigua Chiefs, and RC Gypsy's flying clubs. He was a member of the Masonic Temple and Moose club. Larry was gifted with a musical ear, playing steel guitar with bands and at Jamborees. He spent several years counseling and speaking to many support groups associated with AA. Larry most recently was a board member and former President of the Wedgewood HOA. Larry was dedicated as a Quaker in the Friends church located in Farmington NY. He is survived by his wife, Carol L. Moran-Bowerman, Grand Island, FL; son, Lynn (Amy) Bowerman, Canandaigua, NY; daughter, Cheryl Faber, Naples, NY; step-son, James Moran, Shortsville, NY; step-daughter, Kelly (Donald) Bush, Canandaigua, NY; 2 brothers, David(Joanne) Bowerman, Dalton, TN, Donald (Darlene) Bowerman, Rushville, NY; sister, Linda (Emile) Chevalier, Pleasant Valley, NY; 3 grandchildren, Hannah Lynn Bowerman, Amanda Romano, Heather Faber; several step-grandchildren & 1 step-great-grandchild. There will be a gathering of family & friends at Harden/Pauli Funeral Home, Eustis on Saturday, May 8, 2010 from 2-4 PM.
