Kenneth C. Quist, 72, of Grand island, passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2018. Born in Holden, Massachusetts, He was an owner of Weldtec gas supplies in Auburn, MA and a U.S. Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam War. Kenneth was a graduate of Worcester State College with a Masters plus Degree in Education. He was an avid golfer and retired to Florida in 2005 from Millbury, Massachusetts to pursue his love of golf. He considered his greatest life accomplishment to be his 5 Hole-in-ones, which was second only to the love he had for his family, especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his spouse of 28 years Joyce, (Remuck) Quist, His son Daniel K.Quist of Massachusetts and Daughter Alaina J. Quist of Eustis Florida. He leaves 4 Grandchildren, Anna, Hadley, and Nora Quist of Leominster, MA and Riley Foster of Eustis, FL. He is also survived by a sister. Frances A. Lavin and brother William Quist of Yarmouth, Massachusetts and a brother Richard Quist of Ft. Myers FL. He was predeceased by his parents Grace (Clouart) and Andrew Quist and a brother Frederick Quist.
