Katherine L. Malley

December 25, 1938 — November 11, 2012

Katherine Malley resided in Eustis, FL. and she went home to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on Nov. 11, 2012 at the age of 73. Kathy was born in Dover, NH. and was raised in Sanford, Maine. After moving to the southern part of the United States, she met her future husband Philip in South Carolina in 1961. They married in the spring of 1962 and upon the end of her husband’s tour with the United States Army they moved to Cincinnati, OH. Katherine was a member of the Eustis First Assembly of God Church where she was involved as a Sunday-School teacher. She also served and chaired several committees while with her church. She was a past member in good standing with the “Harvest Christian Fellowship Church” in west Hamilton, Ohio. And with the Hamilton Church of God where she served in several teaching positions with their Sunday-School programs and was the Nursery Coordinator. She also was with the Hamilton Women’s Aglow Organization as their ‘Recording Secretary’. Kathy spent many years and countless hours helping and working with the youth of the “One Way Farm of Fairfield Ohio, Inc.” (A home for abused and abandon children) She was also blessed to be a “Big Sister” for two young girls, whom were with the Big Brothers and Big Sister’s Organization of the Greater Hamilton area and she worked in various Nursing Facilities while living in the Cincinnati area. Kathy was employed with the Bryer School System of Springdale, Ohio in the position of Kitchen-Supervisor in their Springdale and the Northside school locations for the Mentally Retarded. It was there because of her teaching skills and patience, she was an instrumental part in each of the student’s lives and thus upon they’re release into society, each would be able to go out and work and live as productive young adults in they’re new communities. Kathy had dedicated the greatest part of her life to helping others. In 1997 she and her husband retired and moved to Central Florida area where they resided. Upon retirement she shared her many talents in a ‘Nursing Home Ministry’ with her husband and best friend, thus bringing the ‘Word of God’ to many seniors in the nursing homes of the Eustis, Fl. area. It was only because she cared, that there were many souls whom were afforded the opportunity to follow the plan of the “Roman Road of Salvation”. Kathy truly loved those whom were around and near to her. If there were four words that would express Kathys’ life best, I’m sure that those words would be “SHE GAVE HER ALL”… Survivors are: Husband and best friend, Philip of Eustis, FL. Dearest Friends: Larry, Susan, Matthew & Cathy Milbrandt, Harry G. Yeaggy Jr., Steve and Carolyn Montgomery, & Rev. Elby and Beverly Harrison of Cincinnati, OH. Arnold K. & Mary Mitchell of Newport, KY. Amy, Gabrielle, Dustin Jr. & Kaleena Petit, Kevin Fredrick of Jacksonville Beach, FL., Elverna Abney of Fairfield, OH., Rev. John and Cathy Price of Newport News, VA. Her extended families were Dorothy ‘Bambi’ and Robert Harwood of Sorrento, FL. John W. Smith of Eustis, FL., Shirley Jarvis of Haw River, NC., Gene & Lorraine Kolacki of Chester, VA., Rev. Larry and Betty Boone of Eustis, FL. & Rev. Skott and Amy Jensen of Tavares, FL. Kathy had many more friends far too numerous to mention, and she shall surely be missed by all of them.
