Justin Paul Massicotte, an adored and respected husband, father, son, brother, uncle, nephew and friend, was called home to Heaven on October 3, 2024.
He was born on October 18, 1987 to Norm & Vicki Massicotte in Kissimmee, FL - the youngest of three boys. Young Justin was fondly called “Mowgli” by those that knew him, for his love of running wild and barefoot with his long mullet and untamed spirit.
His days as a school boy were full of spunk. If you asked his brothers, Jeremy and Tim, about their memories together they'd tell you all kinds of stories about their land and water adventures, and all the ways the Massicotte Boys made mischief. Justin always revisited memories from his childhood, traveling and camping on the boat with his family and the boating club they were a part of.
After graduating from Harmony High School in 2006, Justin attended Valencia Community College and entered into his tradeshow career. Justin spent most of his professional career in the tradeshow industry with some time in construction. His skills for dreaming up and building things with his hands were unmatched, and he went on to open his own tradeshow business, Summit Atlantic Productions, in 2015. In 2020 he created a custom boat parts & accessories business, Unconventional Marine Products, where he was able to sell his inventions to other boaters that recognized the need for his creative solutions.
Justin was a lover of Jesus, ‘doing his best,’ time on the water, talking on the phone while driving, hosting ‘Daddy Daycare,’ good BBQ, animals and his people. He was a skilled craftsman, successful businessman, the best fishing guide and an avid outdoorsman. Justin loved being out in God’s creation, boating, fishing, diving, camping, hiking, skydiving, golfing, hunting, and shooting guns.
Justin traveled a lot for work, and enjoyed seeing new places. He would always make it a point to plan some fun into each work trip, seeing many National Parks along the way - his favorite being Yosemite. He made it a point to plan fun into EVERYTHING. He lived many lifetimes worth of experiences in his too-short 36 years.
Justin & Melissa were married in 2019. In 2022 they had a son, Parker, and in 2024, they had a daughter, Campbell. Justin’s family meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned, and he was always quick to show off a picture or two. With a brand new baby in the house, Justin was enjoying taking Parker out on regular “Man Stuff” outings - the highlight of their week!
Anyone who knew Justin admired and respected his passion, energy, work ethic, his ability to envision and create anything, the way he retained knowledge, his knack for thinking everything through with careful research and attention to detail, and his overall joy for living life to the fullest. He was a blessing to everyone who knew him and will be very deeply missed on this side of Heaven.
Justin is survived by his wife, Melissa; his children, Parker & Campbell; his parents, Norm & Vicki; his brother, Jeremy, sister-in-law, Laura, nephews & niece, Brock, Wyatt & Lila; & his brother, Tim.
