Joyce W. Owens

Joyce W. Owens, 92, of Mid-Florida Lakes, Leesburg, passed away Monday, October 28, 2013. Born in England, she moved to Leesburg in 1985 from Chicopee, MA. Joyce was a member of St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church, Eustis. She was part of the Rosary Society and Women Guild, was a member of the Mid-Florida Lakes Pool Club, Joyce loved playing Bingo and Cards with her friends and gardening, She was associated with the PTA and Girl Scouts when her girls were growing up. She is survived by 4 daughters, Mary D. (Fran) Houle of Summerfield, FL and East Granby, CT, Maureen O. (Walter) Lubas of Summerfield, FL; Patricia J. (Dale) Ackerman of Pecatonica, IL, Lorrie A. (Eric) Buell, Chicopee, MA; 5 grandchildren, Jason Ackerman, Michelle Ford, Deborah Manning, David Houle and Erica Buell; 4 great-grandchildren, Ryan Manning, Kassie Manning, Ryan Ackerman and Livia Ford. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas P. Owens. A memorial mass will be held at St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church, Eustis on Monday, November 4, 2013 at 9:30 AM. Inurnment will follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
