Joseph W. Condon

Joseph W. Condon, 76, of The Villages, passed away on Tuesday, December 26, 2017. He was born in Boston, Massachusetts where he received his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Boston College. Joe served six years in the Marine Corp Reserves. He married Teresa McCabe, who preceded him in death. Joe enjoyed running and competing in marathons as a member of the Irish American Track Club of Malden, MA. Joseph retired from Boston Public Schools, where he fulfilled the role of Special education facilitator as a member of Umana-Barnes School faculty. He married Eileen Keane McCabe in 1998. After moving to The Villages, he became a member of St. Vincent de Paul Church in Wildwood. He is survived by his brother Dennis Condon (Lenys Walden) of Sun Lake, AZ and Port Washington, WI and his children: Elizabeth Condon Schroth (Michael) of Woburn, MA; Jean Hacherl (Eric) of Maple Glen, PA; Kathleen Condon of Brookline, MA; and William Condon of Boston, MA. He will be sorely missed by Erin McCabe Monahan (William) of Boston, MA and James McCabe (Kerry) of Windham, NH. Joe has five loving grandchildren: Timothy, Alison, Seamus, Brendan and Cecilia Rose. In addition, Joe’s numerous relatives, friends and colleagues will also mourn his passing. Memorial masses in Florida and Massachusetts will be held at a later date.
