Joseph Warren Clapp

Joseph "Joe" Warren Clapp, 76, of Grand Island, FL, passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2015. Born in Fulton, Kentucky, he moved to Grand Island in 2005 from Ocala, FL. He was an entrepreneur working all over the world. Joe is a U.S. Army Veteran. Joe was a member of the Theta Chi fraternity at Furman University and he was also a member of the Amvets. Joe was an avid golfer and fisherman and he loved traveling the world and enjoyed dinning in fine restaurants. He is survived by his Wife, Sharon M. Clapp of Grand Island, FL; Son, Patrick W. Clapp of Houston, TX; Daughter, Patrice Hutchinson of Dallas, TX; Step-Sons, Jeffrey Crider of Grand Island, FL and Joseph Crider of Bradenton, FL; Step-Daughter, Margaret Patterson of Pell City, AL; Brothers, William Lee Clapp of Winston Salem, NC and James David Clapp of Dunnellon, FL; and Grandson, Knox W. Hutchinson. A celebration of Joe's life will be held at SunLake Estates Clubhouse, Grand Island on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at 10:00 AM.
