John A. Thompson

John A. Thompson, 82, of Tavares, passed away Thursday, December 3, 2015. Born in Warren, Ohio, he moved to Tavares in 1982 from Waterville, OH. John served in the U. S. Marine Corps during Korea. Prior to John's retirement he worked with the United States Department of Justice as a Deputy Marshal. He loved golfing and was of Protestant faith. He is survived by his Daughter, Stacie T. Appleby of Tavares, FL; Son , J. Eric Thompson of New Smyrna Beach, FL; Brother, James Thompson of Raeford, NC; Sister, Ruth Thompson of Tavares, FL; 3 Grandchildren and 2 Great-Grandchildren.
