John Stephen Simko, III. 58 of Tavares unexpectedly passed away on Monday, August 6, 2012. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on September 5, 1953. Upon his retirement as a Master Dental Technician, he relocated with his family to Florida settling in Mount Dora, then to Tavares. Survivors include his loving wife of 40 years Carol; One son, John Stephen Simko, IV and his wife, Tricia and grandchildren, Sierra and Levi of Orange City, FL; One daughter, Brandi Britt and her husband, Roger and grandchildren, Destiny and Hailey of Mount Dora; and sister, Marianne Parkinson of Crete, IL. His characteristic ability to bring out the best in people with his humor, kindness and generosity will be sorely missed by his family and his friends. He was a genuine friend and enriched the lives of those lucky enough to know him. His primary passion included time with his family, he was truly devoted to his wife, children and grandchildren, and they were the focus of his life. His other passion was riding his motorcycle and enjoying the company of his many friends in his motorcycle club, the Free Riders MC of Central Florida of which he was a charter member. Being a true gentleman and a moral and honest man, people admired and respected him for his pleasant demeanor and ability to make others feel special. The family will receive friends from 6pm till 8pm on Thursday, August 9, at the Harden/Pauli Funeral Home, Eustis.
