John David McQuilkin

John David McQuilkin, 76, of Tavares, passed away Saturday, October 9, 2021. Born in Batavia, New York to the late Charles and Ruth McQuilkin, he moved to Tavares as a child. John graduated from Umatilla High School Class of 1963. He worked as a truck driver. John was a 50 year member of the Eustis Elks Lodge #1578 and loved riding his Honda Goldwing. He was a volunteer fireman for the City of Eustis and a 13 Gallon blood donor. John is survived by his son, Michael (Leslie) McQuilkin, Wildwood, FL; 2 daughters, Laura (Trevor Dupuis) McQuilkin, Mount Dora, FL, Carrie (Frank) Bellina, Northport, FL; sister, June Amos, Tampa, FL; 7 grandchildren, Hunter, Isabelle, Chloe, Phoebe, Mason, Hayley & Bentley. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Howard McQuilkin. John will be laid to rest at Umatilla Cemetery Annex, Umatilla.
