John Robert Lovett, 83, of Mount Dora, FL passed away Wednesday, September 12, 2018. Born in Gainesville, FL, he moved to Central Florida in 1960 after completing his service in the U.S. Air Force. He was a service representative for Pitney Bowes an office equipment company after the military. John was a member of the First Baptist Church of Paisley. He was very musical and he played music by ear. In high school he played the drums, he also played piano and organ. When he was a young adult he sang in several quartets. John also enjoyed wood burning and caring for his orchids. John is predeceased by his Parents, Hardy and Thelma Lovett; Brother, Bill Lovett; Sister, Betty Jeanne McCall; and Grandson, Brandon DeBock. He is survived by his Wife, Elberta I. Lovett of Mount Dora, FL; Daughters, Debby L. Hunt and Darlene J. DeBock of Mount Dora; Brother, Wayne Lovett of Gonzalez, FL; Grandchildren, Mitch Hunt (Jennica Maxfield), Jeff (Ashleigh) Hunt and Dori DeBock; Great grandchildren Tyler Gatewood, Eli Gatewood and Ethan Hunt; and numerous extended family and friends. Celebration of Life Services will be held at Life Community Church, Eustis on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 2:00 PM.
