John Wesley Long

John Wesley Long, 94, of Eustis, Florida, passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2023. Born in Montrose, Georgia, he moved to Eustis in 1991 from Fort Walton Beach, Florida. He was a Senior Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force, working as a Jet Engine Mechanic. John served his country in Korea. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mount Dora and a member of the Disabled American Veterans of Leesburg, FL. John is predeceased by his Son, John Long Jr; Brother, Alton, Long; Sisters, Lillian Jackson and Jean Johnson. He is survived by his Wife of 70 years, Glenda Long of Eustis, FL; Daughter, Sharon Lynn Long and her husband of Ban Tantrakool of Tuscaloosa, AL; 3 Grandchildren, Erica (Christian) Schlank of Valdosta, GA, Ian S. Long of Eustis, FL, and Katelyn Long of Brooklyn, NY; 2 Great Grandchildren, Ethan and Conor Schlank.
