Joan Carol Higginbotham

Joan Carol Higginbotham, 78, of Lake Placid, passed away Sunday, November 21, 2021. Born in Columbia, South Carolina, she moved to Lake Placid 1985 from Eustis, FL. She was a Data Operations Technician for the School Board of Highlands County and also for the Heartland Educational Consortium. Joan is survived by her husband, Jerry Higginbotham of Lake Placid, FL; son, Patrick Lynn (Jennifer) Corley of Lake Placid, FL; daughter, Jennifer Diane Zimmerman of Sebring, FL; sister, Betty Jane (Elmer) Henry of Eustis, FL; and 5 grandchildren. A celebration of Life will be held at First Baptist Church of Lake Josephine, Sebring on Sunday, November 28, 2021 at 6:00 PM. Graveside Services will be held at Greenwood Cemetery, Eustis on Monday, November 29, 2021 at 1:00 PM. There will be a Celebration of Life Service for Joani at her home church, Lake Josephine Baptist Church, in Lake Placid on Sunday, 11/28/21, at 6:00 PM.
