Jo Anne Hooks Bacon

Jo Anne Hooks Bacon, 77, of Mount Dora, passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2016. Born in Milledgeville, Georgia, she moved to Mount Dora in 1987 from Fort Lauderdale, FL. She retired from Southern Bell Telephone as a Divisions Secretary, and worked as a Church Secretary with several local churches. Jo Anne was a member of the Bay Street Baptist Church, Eustis and was a member of the American Racing Pigeon Union. Jo Anne was the greatest people person you would ever meet and she loved animals. She is survived by Husband, David Bacon of Mount Dora, FL; Son and Daughter-in-law, Jeff and Ginny Bacon of Loganville, GA; Sisters Bernice Wynette White and Barbara (Don) Owens, both of Jacksonville, FL; and Grandsons - Danny and Bradley Bacon; Services will be held at Bay Street Baptist Church, Eustis on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Pine Forest Cemetery, Mount Dora. The family will receive friends at the Harden/Pauli Funeral Home, Eustis on Friday, April 29, 2016 from 5:00 PM till 7:00 PM.
