Jessie Getford Kirkland

Jessie Getford Kirkland, 94, of Eustis, passed away Tuesday, March 23, 2010. She was a life long resident of Eustis. She was the owner of the Fountain Inn Beauty Salon of Eustis and an active member of the Lake Eustis Christian Church (Formerly First Christian Church). Mrs. Kirkland was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star of Eustis, Eustis Garden Club, Eustis Women's Club and of the Lake Eustis Chamber of Commerce. She served on the Board of Directors for LSCC, served as the Homeroom Mother for her children at Eustis Elementary School, was Den Mother for the Cub Scouts and active with the Boy Scouts. Son and daughter in law - Robert E. and Marylin Kirkland, Lakeland, FL; Daughter - Elizabeth Ann Kirkland Stoothoff; Grandchildren - Stephanie Kirkland Painter and husband Drew Painter, Robin Kirkland Petrokus and husband James Petrokus, George Stoothoff, Jr.; Great Grandchildren - Logan Painter, Lexie Painter, Shawn Ryan Painter, Junior Petrokus and Matty Petrokus; and Great Great Grandchild- Alexis Ryan. Services will be held at the Lake Eustis Christian Church, Eustis, on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Eustis. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Good Shephard Hospice, 105 Arneson Ave, Auburndale, FL 33823, or the American Heart Association.
