ALES, JERE passed away on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at his Tavares, FL residence. He was a native of Lost Nation, Iowa and moved to Central Florida in 2008. Mr. Ales spent most of his life in the Quad City area (Iowa / Illionois). He was an owner of a construction equipment sales and trucking company. He was a member of the Antique Motorcycle Club of America, Harley Owners Group, Sunnyland Chapter of the Antique Classic Boat Society, and the Eustis Old House Club. Jere was of the Catholic faith. Survived by his children: Christopher (Lisa) of Moline, Il., Scott (Debra) of Eustis, FL; Carrie (Tim) Ummel of Scottsdale, AZ; sister: Mary Lou Scherer of Omaha, NE; Five Grandchildren and Four Great-Grandchildren. There will be an Open House for Jere’s Florida friends at the Ales residence: 2461 E. Crooked Lake Club Blvd., Eustis on Saturday, April 14th from 6:00-9:00 PM. Please come to fellowship and share stories of Jere’s full and memorable life. There will be a memorial service at Runge Mortuary Chapel, Davenport, Iowa on Friday, June 1, 2012 at 12:30 PM. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM-12:30 PM at the funeral home. Jere's celebration will continue at the Lindsay Park Yacht Club from 2:00-5:00PM. On Saturday, June 2nd at 1:00 PM. the committal inurnment service will be held at the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Maquoketa, IA.
