Jean Tyndall Morgan

November 29, 1930 — April 6, 2021

Jean Tyndall Morgan, 90, of Mount Dora, Florida passed away Tuesday, April 6, 2021 with her daughter by her side. She was born and raised in Winter Garden, Florida, and was one of 11 children of Charlie and Emma Tyndall. Jean was a lifelong resident of Central Florida, and she lived in Mount Dora for over 60 years. Jean and Warren Albert Morgan were married in 1949 and raised 3 loving children. She attended Florida State University, was an administrative assistant at Forester Haven, and worked for the Lake County Clerk of the Court prior to her retirement. Jean was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mount Dora where she taught children in Sunday School and also was a Cub Scouts leader.
Jean’s happiest times involved spending time with her family, living her faith, taking her grandchildren to estate and garage sales, donating to children's charities, decorating the family home for holidays, keeping up with local events, reading recipe and fashion magazines, and visiting with friends. Sweet Jean will be remembered for her devotion to family and friends, her beautiful smile, sparkling eyes, warmth, laughter, kindness, and love of children.
She is predeceased by her son, Jeffrey Warren Morgan, daughter, Emmy Annette Sims, and nine siblings: Verna, Julie, Kermit, John, Bruce, Larry, George, Donald and Charles. Jean is survived by her daughter, Debbie Morgan of Altamonte Springs, FL; Annette’s partner Pam Henry of Sorrento, FL; sister, Patti (Pete) Wages of Winter Garden, FL; brother-in-law, John Morgan of New Jersey; sister-in-law, Fran Morgan Needham of Delaware; 7 grandchildren, Jessica (Patrick) Sims, Justin (Desiree') Sims, Eric (Destiny) Morgan, John Sims, Jarrell Deondrae Sims, Jayna Sims, and Jacob "Freddie" Sims. Jean is also survived by her 6 great-grandchildren, Jacquez, Olivia, Faith, Levi, Darien, and Axel, and by numerous extended family (nieces and nephews) and treasured, lifelong friends from childhood as well as her time in Mount Dora. The family thanks the staff and medical team at Edgewater of Waterman Village and Vitas Hospice for providing Jean with love, compassionate care, medical treatment, and uplifting humor.
Memorial services will be held at Harden/Pauli Funeral Home Chapel, Eustis on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at 1:00 PM. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00 Noon until 1:00 PM. Interment will be at Pine Forest Cemetery, Mount Dora, FL. Flowers are accepted or memorial donations may be made to the Edgewater Staff.
