J. Carlton Green, 86, of Eustis, passed away Tuesday, July 09, 2013. Born in Eustis, Florida, he was a lifelong resident. Carlton served in the Navy during World War II. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Eustis where he was Chairman of Deacons, Chairman of the Building Committee, Trustee and drove a bus for the Children's Ministry. Carlton was a blood donor and donated over 20 gallons of blood during his lifetime. He enjoyed camping and tubing in North Carolina, going to the beach with his family, and loved spending time with his grandchildren. He is predeceased by his parents J.B. and Edith Green and daughter and son in law Ann and James Rapalje. Carlton is survived by his wife Gertrude B. Green of Eustis; son, Barney (Linda) Green of Eustis, FL; daughters, Cathy Green, Mount Dora, FL and Dawn (Tom) Hofmeister of Eustis, FL; Sister, LaVohn Sandlin of Lakeland, FL; Brother - Arlen (June) Green of Navarre, FL; grandchildren, Marla (Kyle) Carter, Danny Rapalje, Dana (Tony) Zorrilla, Mindy (Jeff) Beegle, Adam Smith, Ryan Smith, Tracy Hofmeister and Bernie Hofmeister; great grandchildren, Baby Carter (in the oven); Logan Zorrilla, Olivia Zorrilla, Justin Beegle, Brian Beegle, and nieces and nephew - Edith Ann (Gene) Gabbard, Gary Green, and Calene (Robert) Kozma. Services will be held at First Baptist Church, Eustis on Friday, July 12, 2013 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Eustis. The family will receive friends at the Church Prior to the Service from 10:00 AM till 11:00 AM. Memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, the Florida Baptist Children’s Home, or First Presbyterian Church of Eustis Handbell Choir. Online Guestbook available at
