James E. Thomas, 70, of Tavares, passed away Monday, June 06, 2011. Born in Wilson, North Carolina, he moved to Tavares in 1999 from Maryland . He was a Postal Clerk with the United States Postal Service. James is a U.S. Army Veteran. He loved studying world history and geography. James is preceaded innt heaven by his Mother-Gladys Ward Thomas. He is survived by Wife - Daisy V. Thomas of Tavares, FL; Father - Edward Thomas; Son - Darrell E. Thomas of Orlando, FL; Daughter - Vonda C. Bell of Eustis, FL; Sister - Jean E. Thomas, of Washington, DC; and Grandchildren - Tiara, Rachel, Devon, Joshua, Calvin, Mekhiah & Rodney. Services will be held at Harden/Pauli Funeral Home Chapel, Eustis on Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.
