James F. Rogers, 88, of Altoona, passed away Friday, January 6, 2012. Born in Guelph City, Ontario, Canada, he had lived in Altoona for over 20 years moving here from Wellsburg, New York. He was a Machine Operator for Agway Feed Plant for over 20 years and was a member of First United Methodist Church of Altoona. He served in the US Army during World War II. He was a member of the Moose Lodge, American Legion, Post 21, a life member of the North American Fishing Club and was a life member of the Handyman Club of America. He is survived by his 2 sons, Richard Rogers, Orchard Beach, MD, Philip N. Rogers, Sr., Altoona, FL; step-sister Donna Rogers; 10 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, James "Frank" Rogers, Jr.; 2 sisters, Jean Eiklor and Beatrice French. Online Guestbook available at
