James Michael "Jimmy" Miller, 67, of Umatilla, passed away Thursday, December 17, 2020. Born in Eustis, Florida, he was a lifelong Lake County Resident. He worked for Eustis Police Department in many different capacities for over 41 years and was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Mount Dora. Jimmy was an avid music lover and always enjoyed playing his trumpet. He used his musical talent in community theatre at Bay Street Players. He loved gardening, motorcycles and bowling (learning to bowl both right-handed and left-handed). He dabbled as a Ham Radio Operator (KA4OPM) frequently connecting with people around the world. Jimmy touched the lives of so many people in the community and is always remembered as jovial, upbeat, and fun-loving. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Maryanne Miller, Umatilla, FL; 3 sons, Rodney (Stephanie) Miller, Eustis, FL, Patrick (Jessica) Miller, Nashville, TN, Christopher Miller, Tallahassee, FL; 2 brothers, Terry Miller, Groveland, FL, William “Billy” Miller, Umatilla, FL; sister, Ann Stafford, Lakeland, FL; 2 granddaughters, Ryan & Charlotte. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Mount Dora on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at 9:00 AM. The family will receive friends at the Harden/Pauli Funeral Home Chapel, Eustis on Monday evening from 6:00 till 8:00 PM.
