James Bernard Mellon lll (59) passed away on February 15th, 2023. James, fondly known as Jimbo, was born to James and Peggy Mellon on July 24th, 1963. Jimbo was born and raised in Chicago, with his dear sister, Peggy. He graduated from High School and later went on to work for over 20 years for Jewel. He was a true south sider who loved the Chicago Bears and White Sox. Animals held a huge place in his heart, especially his own (Jackie, Roxy, and Patches) along with his love of helping people. He was one of a kind and will be extremely missed by many. He was a cherished husband to his late wife, Sandra. A proud father to his son, James (Amanda). And a beloved grandfather to his two "grand babies" Natalie and James, or as he would call him Jimbo Jr. His best times and memories were spent shooting darts with his many friends, riding his motorcycle, visiting his best friends, Fran and Nick, in FL with Sandie, driving his Camero, playing in a men's softball league with his son, Jimmy, (go Shooters) and throwing back a few cold ones at Franicks or while listening to one of his favorite local Chicago bands, Infinity. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, and sister. Plans for a Celebration of Life will be made at a later time. Online Guestbook available at
