James Austin (Jimmy) Alyea

James Austin (Jimmy) Alyea, 56, of Tavares, passed away Friday, August 28, 2020. Born in Eustis, Florida to the late James Austin & Joyce Hampton Alyea, he was a lifelong resident of Lake County graduating from Eustis High School Class of 1982. He worked as a Chef at many local Lake County restaurants. Jimmy loved being outdoors especially when he was fishing & boating with his beloved son. Jimmy is survived by his son, Caiden Austin Alyea, Winter Park, FL; sister, Amy Alyea Zeek, Winter Park, FL; niece, Riley Erin Zeek, Winter Park, FL.; Uncle Don Sylvester Hampton and Aunt Shirley Hampton; and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his loving companion of 10 years and mother of Caiden, Sydney Ann Straessley. A Memorial service for Jimmy and his late mother, Joyce will be held at Harden/Pauli Funeral Home Chapel, Eustis on Friday, July 9, 2021 at 2:00 PM.
