Jacqueline Grant

Jacqueline Grant, 83 years, born to parents Donnie Ezelle Nolen and Eddie Grover Grant, who worked for Lake Region Packing House and owned several citrus groves in Lake County. Jacqueline was born in Broxton, Georgia and grew up and was educated in Tavares. She is a graduate of Tavares High School Class of 1948. She worked as a telephone operator, supervisor where she met and married Thomas D. Possee. She started her family; changed her career title to full time mother and loving housewife. They were a military family and moved out of state for a time, going to Colorado, England and back to Colorado before they retired in Tavares, Florida. They were married for 50 years. She is survived by Marjorie, Norma, George, Lynda, Bruce, Bradley, Silke, Nicole, James, Tetley, Flora, many nieces, nephews and cousins. She enjoyed singing, reading romance novels, crocheting, sewing, watching her children grow and the fellowship of all who knew her. She was a gentle soul, a wonderful mother and a member of the First Baptist Church in Tavares, Florida and the Red Hat Society. Her funeral will be on July 27, 2012 at 2 PM at Harden/Pauli Funeral Home in Eustis, Florida. Interment to follow at Tavares Cemetery to rejoin her parents in a rest well earned.
