J. Wilton Adams

J. Wilton Adams, 100, of Mount Dora, passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2023. Born in Hart County, Georgia, he moved to Mount Dora in 1924 from Nuberg, Georgia. He was the Postmaster for the City of Mount Dora for 39 years. Wilton was a member of Grand Island Baptist Church, Grand Island. He served his country in the US Army during World War II in the Pacific Theater. He is survived by his son, J. Ben Adams, Grand Forks, ND; daughter, Karen A. Adams, The Villages, FL; 3 step-grandchildren and 4 step-great-grandchildren. Services will be held at Harden/Pauli Funeral Home, Eustis on Friday, January 27, 2023 at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at Pine Forest Cemetery, Mount Dora. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Cornerstone Hospice, 2445 Lane Park Road, Tavares, FL 32778.
