Brandon, Imogene (nee Converse) of Leesburg, FL and formerly of Lima, Ohio. Imogene was born to Cornelius and Mabel (nee Wahls) Converse in Lima, Ohio. She is survived by her beloved husband of 72 years, James Brandon, who resides in Leesburg, FL, as well as her daughters, Lynne Wortham of Garner, NC, Marcie Margraves of Leesburg, FL, Cyntra “Sue” Chambers of Cincinnati, OH and Deanna (Rodney) Thompson of Temperance, MI. She is also survived by her numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is proceeded in death by her parents and siblings, Vera DeGood, Betty Carter and Perry Converse. Imogene passed away on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at the age of 90. Imogene retired from Westinghouse Sundstrand in Lima, OH as an inspector where she received many awards. Among those awards was the high honor of the SFA Silver Snoopy Award, which was given to her personally from a NASA astronaut after their mission to space was completed. This award is given for professionalism, dedication and outstanding support that greatly enhanced space flight safety and mission success. Imogene lived a great life. She loved and excelled at golf and she also enjoyed bowling, volunteering, knitting, crocheting and was a very crafty lady. Imogene will be laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL, on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at 2:00 PM.
