Helen Lamb Taylor, 89, of Tavares, went to be with her Lord on Monday, May 29, 2017. Born in Thomasville, Georgia, she lived there until she married Ray Preston Taylor on December 22, 1946. They were married for 52 years until his death. They are now together in the presence of Jesus. Helen moved from Georgia to Lake County in 1972, where she worked as an administrative assistant in the school system until her retirement. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, Leesburg. Helen spent many years ministering in preschool and the nursery. She was also very active in politics, serving as an officer with the Lake County Republican Women’s Club. Helen was a longtime volunteer with Avante Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Mount Dora. She is survived by her sons, Bret (Doris)Taylor, Tavares, FL, Chad (Marcia) Taylor, Clermont, FL; 2 grandchildren, Ray Taylor, Ryan Taylor; 1 great-grandchild, Dallas Taylor. Helen was preceded in death by her son, Stan Taylor and her granddaughter, Michelle Taylor. Services will be held at Emmanuel Baptist Church, Leesburg on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 1:00 PM. The family will receive friends at the Harden/Pauli Funeral Home Chapel, Eustis on Friday evening from 6:00 till 8:00 PM.
