Helen Lee Rooney

Helen Lee Rooney, 86, of Tavares, Florida passed away Monday, February 15, 2021. Born in Atlanta, Georgia in 1934, she moved to Tavares in 2000 from Miami, Florida. She was a Technical Editor at Florida International University prior to her retirement. Helen enjoyed working with computers, gardening, photography, sewing and spending time with her family. Helen is predeceased by her husband, Walter "Skip" Rooney. She is survived by her Daughters, Karen Ramos of Eustis, FL, Pamela Rooney of Tavares, FL and Jill Silverberg of Saint Petersburg, FL; her seven grandchildren and her three great grandchildren with a fourth due on February 23rd. Helen will be at rest with her husband Skip at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell. Memorial donations may be made to Habitat for Humanity and the World Wildlife Fund.
