Helen M. Gates, 95, of Eustis, FL died on Sunday, September 20, 2009. Born in Pittsburgh, PA, she moved to Eustis in 1982 from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She was a Homemaker, was Lutheran, a member of the Order of the Eagles and the Eustis Moose Lodge #1389. She is survived by 6 sons, Richard Stewart of Westview, PA, David Stewart of Sorrento, FL, James Stewart of New Straitsville, OH, Wayne Gates of Ambridge, PA, Robert Gates of Millville, PA, Kenneth Morder of Conway, PA; 4 daughters, Florence Smith of Dingmans Ferry, PA, Lillian Markey of Dorchester, SC, Carol Martinez of San Antonio, TX, Helen Chase of Kissimmee, FL; 67 grandchildren; 140 great-grandchildren; and 50 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 2 daughters, Barbra Henry and Lois Gates. Services will be held at Harden-Pauli Funeral Home, Eustis on Tuesday, September 22, 2009, at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at High Wood Cemetery, Pittsburgh, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Cornerstone Hospice, 2445 Lane Park Road, Tavares, FL 32778.
