Helen Kathleen Hunt

Mrs. Helen Kathleen Hunt, age 98, of Murray, KY died at 11:55pm Saturday at Spring Creek Health Care. She was born Oct. 27,1914 in Pollard, KY to the late Samuel Harlan Barber & Charlotte Carr Barber. Mrs. Hunt married Rev. Lowell Hunt, Feb. 5,1933, and he preceded her in death Feb. 7,1991. Her sister; Iona Riffe and her brother; Russell Barber also preceded her in death. She was a retired school teacher, teaching full time for many years, and substitue teaching up into her 70's. She attended Miami University of Ohio. She along with her husband held pastorates in Virginia,Ohio and Florida. She moved to Murray in 2000, and became an active member of First United Methodist Church, and lived in Wesley at Murray Senior living for nine years. She is survived by her daughter; Linda Bartnick, one sister; Ruth Griggs, one brother; Harry Barber (Connie), one grandson; Adam Bartnick (Laurel), and two great grandchildren; William & Clara Bartnick.
