Harry I. Doremus, III, 55, of Mount Dora, passed away Friday, October 16, 2015. Born in St. Petersburg, Florida, he moved to Lake County in 1972 from Hudson, Florida. He served with the Mount Dora Police Department and retired with the Eustis Police Department after 28 years of Service. He was the Past Commander of the Sons of the AmVets Post 1992. Harry was a very active volunteer in the Golden Triangle Area for American Veterans Organizations and Cornerstone Hospice. He is survived by his mother, Katherine K. Doremus, Chanhassen, MN; son, Harry "BJ" I. (Victoria) Doremus, IV, Locust Grove, GA; 2 daughters, Shanda Carroll, Umatilla, FL, Tosha (Raymond) Martin, Umatilla, FL; aunt, Roberta Fernandez, Chanhassen, MN; 6 grandchildren, R. Jay Martin, Kaytlyn Carroll, Taylor Martin, Tyler Martin, Kaitlyn Floyd and Dakota Doremus. A Memorial Service will be held at Harden/Pauli Funeral Home Chapel, Eustis on Monday, October 19, 2015 at 4:00 PM.
