Gerald D. Green

Gerald D. Green, 77, of Eustis, passed away Saturday, October 7, 2017. Born in Lake Butler, Florida, to the late Alvie & Loca Mae (Byrd) Green, he moved to Lake County as a child. Gerald graduated from Eustis High School in 1958 soon after enlisted in the Army. He retired as a Captain after serving 2 tours in Vietnam. After his military career he worked and retired from the Lake County Sheriff's Office. Gerald was a member of the VFW, Post 8087 of Eustis/Mount Dora and the Army/Navy Veterans Club. He is survived by his wife, Maxine Green, Eustis, FL; son, David (Renate) Green, Eustis, FL; 2 step-sons, Tom (Diana) Bradner, Ewa Beach, HI, Mike (Kyle) Bradner, Eustis, FL; step-daughter, Teresa (Dean) Simmons, Eustis, FL; brother, Ronald Green, Lake Butler, FL; grandchildren, Sarah, Tanner, Joey, Jaime, Dean, Austin Michael, Steven & Dylan; great-grandchildren, Nico, Belva & Michael; 2 nephews, Shawn, Billy & niece, Dawn. Services will be held at Harden/Pauli Funeral Home Chapel, Eustis on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at 7:00 PM. Interment will be Thursday at Swift Creek Cemetery in Lake Butler at 11:00 AM. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home prior to the service from 6-7 PM. Memorial donations may be made to the VFW Post 8087, Eustis Children's Christmas Toy Drive.
