Georgina Medina-Velez

Georgina Medina-Velez, 94, of Grand Island, passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2019. Born in Ceiba, Puerto Rico, she moved to Grand Island in 2008 after living most her life in Carolina, Puerto Rico. She was a seamstress. Georgina is survived by her son, Victor Garcia, Sorrento, FL; 2 daughters, Dorcas I. Dominguez, Grand Island, FL, Luz M. Garcia, Eustis, FL; 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Services will be held at Harden/Pauli Funeral Home Chapel, Eustis on Friday, August 2, 2019 at 7:00 PM. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM that evening at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Cementerio Municipal Viejo Pueblo, Fajardo, Puerto Rico. In lieu of flowers, donations in Georgina's name, maybe made to Casa David PO Box 693, Columbus, GA 31902 or to Iglesia Bautista La Gracia, P.O. Box 970, Sorrento, FL 32776. Casa David is a charity that Georgina supported with gifts and prayers. It serves medical patients and families in Honduras by providing shelter ad basic needs along with the Gospel of Christ.
