Georgianna Witt, 101, of Sorrento, Florida, passed away Thursday, September 22, 2022. Born in Keystone, Oklahoma, she moved to Sorrento in 1959 from Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was a wife and mother. During World War II she served as a Rosie the Riveter to help support her family and the troops. Georgianna was a seamstress and upholsterer, and she loved to paint and garden. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mount Dora and the First Baptist Church of Tangerine. She was a volunteer at Orphan Rock Thrift Store for 12 years. Daughter to Cora Edith, Charlie Reynolds and step-father, Claude Carter. Georgianna is predeceased by her husband, Alva R. Witt and her son, Stephen Witt and grandson, Dean. She is survived by her 2 daughters, Rita (Ed) Woodham of Sorrento, FL, Judy Beims of Tavares, FL; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren. Services will be held at the First Baptist Church of Umatilla on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at 3:00 PM. Interment will follow at Sorrento Cemetery, Sorrento, Florida. The family will receive friends at the church from 2:00 until 3:00 PM prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Orphans’ Rock Thrift Store, 2702 W.
