George W. Whitehead Jr.

George W. Whitehead, Jr., 84, of Astatula, passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2020. Born in Miami, Florida, he moved to Astatula in 1972 from Bradenton, Florida. He was a boat salesman and a member of the Astatula Baptist Church. George also served proudly in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was predeceased by his Wife, Joette Whitehead and Daughter, Annette Chapman. He is survived by his Son, George B. (Jennifer) Whitehead of Eustis, FL, Son-in-law, Steve Chapman of Montverde, FL, and three Grandchildren, Eon (Holly) Chapman, Aron Chapman and Kennedy Whitehead. Services will be held at Astatula Cemetery, Astatula on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at 2:00 PM. .Memorial donations may be made to VITAS Hospice, 127 North Bay Street, Eustis, FL 32726.
