George Cecil Silcox, 93, of Eustis, passed away Friday, June 28, 2013. Born in Starke, Florida, he moved to Orlando in 1969 after a career in the US Army retiring as a Master Sergeant. George served during World War II & Korea. Military Service. After retiring, he worked for Walt Disney World from 1970-1980, during the construction of the Magic Kingdom and was there for Opening Day in 1971. He is survived by his son, George F. Silcox, Ocoee, FL; 2 daughters, Regina Kay Miniere, Paisley, FL, Vicky Arabis, Eustis, FL; loving friend, Mary Ryan; 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the Harden/Pauli Funeral Home on Thursday, July 11, 2013 from 9:00 AM till 10:00 AM. Services will be held at Harden/Pauli Funeral Home, Eustis, on Thursday, July 11, 2013 at 10:00 AM. Military graveside will follow at Kingsley Lake Cemetery, Starke, FL at 2:30 PM.
