George W. Fussell

George W. Fussell, 87, of Eustis, passed away Sunday, October 23, 2011. Born in Ocala, Florida, he moved to Eustis in 1979 from Virginia . He retired as Major with the U.S. Army serving for 21 years during WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. Following his military career he worked for the Department of Defense for 16 years. He was of Baptist faith and was a member of the V.F.W. and Kiwanis. He is survived by his wife of 67 years , Martha J. Fussell of Eustis, FL; Daughters, Catherine Thurmann of Eustis, FL, Cheri Tokarchic of Sterling, VA, Deborah Fussell of Sterling, VA, and Sandra Hart of Oxford, FL; Brothers, Julian Fussell of Warner Robins, GA and Thomas P. Fussell of Guilford, CT; 7 Grandchildren and 15 Great-Grandchildren. Military Honors will be held at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, on Friday October 28, 2011 at 11:30AM.
