Gary Elwood Moreland, 77, of Grand Island, passed away Monday, May 6, 2019. Born in Seattle, Washington, he moved to Grand Island in 2005 from Bellingham, Washington. Gary served his country in the US Navy during the Vietnam War and was a retired Merchant Marine, Engineer. Gary is survived by his wife of 27 years, Diep Dao Moreland, Grand Island, FL; 3 sons, Denny Moreland, Puyallup, WA, Larry Moreland, Bonney Lake, WA, Guy Moreland, Hoodsport, WA; daughter, Ruth Moreland, Barcelona, Spain; 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. A celebration gathering will be held at the Harden/Pauli Funeral Home on Saturday June 1, 2019 from 9:00 AM till 12 Noon.
