Freddy G. Baxley

Freddy G. Baxley was born on September 24, 1953 in Hartford, Alabama. He was the youngest child of William Baxley and Mildred Davis Baxley. In 1965, he moved with his parents to Umatilla, Florida to be near his brothers and their families. He was a 1971 graduate of Umatilla High School. On Valentine's Day 1976, he and Kathy Cox were married. In 1988, they were blessed with a wonderful son they named Clint. Freddy had a career in the grocery business that lasted for more than fifty years. In his spare time, he enjoyed cooking and fishing. But, more than anything, spending time with his wife and son was most important. He will be dearly missed by all those who loved him. Freddy G. Baxley, 66, passed away on May 1, 2020 in Tavares, Florida. He is survived by his wife, Kathy; son, Clint; daughter-in-law, Amethyst; grandson, Nicolas; sister, Gail Baxley Weldon and many other family members. Predeceased in death by his parents, William and Mildred Baxley, and brothers George and Billy Baxley. A private family graveside service will be at Lakeside Memory Gardens, Eustis, Florida on May 5, 2020. Harden-Pauli Funeral Home, Eustis, Florida is in charge of arrangements.
