Freddie Gale Terry, 75, of Eustis, Florida, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 16, 2016 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. Born in Cooter, Missouri to Sue Terry, he moved to Central Florida as a youth. Other than his service in the U.S. Coast Guard, Freddie spent the rest of his life in the Central Florida area. Freddie retired from Publix Supermarkets 19 years ago, after more than 35 years of service. He started at the College Park store in the early ‘60’s, and moved to Eustis in the late ‘70’s as store manager of the first Eustis Publix. Over the years, he was a mentor and friend to many members of the Publix family, where he is still known by many as ‘Mr. Terry’. Freddie was very proud of his family. He is survived by his children, Teresa Šoman, Bill Higdon, Susan Lynch, and Michelle McManus; six grandchildren, Robby McManus, Stephanie Lynch, Edison McManus, Brianna Lynch, Bridgette Lynch, and Colton Higdon; and one great-grandchild, Skylar McManus. He is also survived by his brother, Norman Green. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Carlton Terry, and his mother, Sue Terry. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 20 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the Harden Pauli Funeral Home, 1617 South Bay Street, Eustis, FL. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 21 at 11:00 AM at LifePointe Church, 3551 E. Orange Avenue, Eustis, FL. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association (
