Franklin N. Hall, 80, of Umatilla, passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2011 after a long illness. Born in Umatilla, to a pioneer citrus growing family, he was a lifelong resident, graduating from Umatilla High School Class of 1950. He retired from Citrus Central, was a citrus grower and a sixty five year member of First United Methodist Church of Umatilla where he taught the John Wesley class for several years and had served on the board of the Church. He was a member of Farm Bureau, Florida Citrus Mutual, Gator Boosters Inc., and a US Navy Veteran. He loved horticulture, citrus, baseball, and his beloved Florida Gators. He is predeceased by his wife Dorothy, his parents W.R. and Bessie Hall, brother W.R. Hall, Jr. of Eustis, sisters Nancy Elizabeth and Verna Katherine of Umatilla, and Winifred M. Tuggle of Brentwood, Calif. He is survived by his sons - Stephen M. Hall of Umatilla and F. Drew Hall of Mount Dora, brother - James R. Hall of Umatilla and sister - Evelyn H. Smith of Eustis. Graveside services will be held at Glendale Cemetery, Umatilla on Saturday, May 14, 2011 at 10:00 AM. Flowers accepted or donations may be made to: U of F Foundation, Inc., P.O.
