Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Frank S. Paulhamus, 84, of Eustis, Florida, passed away Monday, February 13, 2023, to join the love of his life, Beatrice Paulhamus who joined the Heavenly Father on April 7th, 2022.
Frank was born in Williamsport, Pennsylvania until he moved to Central Florida in early 1960’s where he brought his love for farming, green tractors, fast cars, Bea and Jesus! You could always count on Frank to have a knife and vise-grips in his pocket along with hard candy for church and dog treats for the dogs he’d met.
Bea and Frank worked as a team to invest in a farm by working day & night. Eustis Muck Farms was a true to life “family farm”, it grew to just over 700 acres, four kids, countless friends & family embracing the community and feeding the “masses” with the famous “Candy Corn”.
Frank was very involved as a youth Sunday School Teacher. He served on the Board of Directors for Lake Soil and Water and Barberville Pioneer Settlement and was Treasurer for Florida Antique Tractor Club.
Frank was quick to smile and had a sly sense of humor. A few times he was pressed into cooking for us kids we happily ate popcorn for supper! Frank is survived by daughters, Gail (Milton) Neu of Eustis, FL, Glenda Kirkman of Eustis, FL, Karen (Joe) Clements of Saint Cloud, FL and son, Richard A. "Rick" (Rebecca) Paulhamus of Franklin, TN.
Frank’s very first trip to McDonalds was a result of his Five Grandchildren - Bradley (Barbara) Neu, Umatilla FL; Robert (Val) Neu, Altoona, FL; Stephanie Kirkman, Mt. Dora FL; Emma & Cora Paulhamus, Franklin, TN and Great Granddaughter, GracieLynn Neu, Umatilla, FL.
Also survived by brother, Eugene Paulhamus of Eustis, FL; sister, May Rose (Steve) Babcock of Leesburg, FL; sister-in-law, Theresa Paulhamus of Mount Dora. He had many extended family and friends that are as close as family. Frank is predeceased by his wife, Beatrice Paulhamus, and brother Bruce Paulhamus.
