Francis "Frank" X. Keenan, 93, of Eustis, passed away Sunday, November 10, 2013. Born in Chicago, Illinois, he moved to Eustis in 1983 from Fenton, Michigan. He was a devoted and loving husband of 70 years to Vera and a shining example of how a life should be lived for his children, their spouses and grandchildren. Frank was defined by his loyalty, integrity, honesty and humility and he touched all who knew him with his strong faith, kind soul and his undying support of Notre Dame football. He was a Sales Manager with Ford Tractor and a U.S. Naval Aviator Veteran of WWII. Frank was a member of St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church, Eustis; Lake Eustis Sailing Club, Life member of the V.F.W. Post 8087 of Eustis, Life member of the American Legion #41 of Eustis, Eustis Parks & Recreation Volunteer, former advisor to the Lake County Water Authority, on the Board of Ferran Park and King of the George Washington Parade in 2000. He is survived by his Wife, Vera R. Keenan, of Eustis, FL; Sons, Michael F. Keenan (Carol) of Strongsville, OH and Thomas E. Keenan (Sharon) of Highland, MI; Daughters, Candi Robb of Eustis, FL and Trisha End (Bob) of Telluride, CO; Sister, Gladys Mae Keenan of Genoa City, WI; 10 Grandchildren and 7 Great-Grandchildren. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church, Eustis, on Friday, November 15, 2013 at 12 noon. Frank was an ambassador for sailing having raced sailboats throughout his life at sailing clubs in WI, MI and on Lake Eustis.
