Frances Mirl Williamson, 82, of Leesburg, Florida, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2025. Born in Opp, Alabama on May 30, 1942, Mirl and her family moved to Central Florida in 1944. She was a lifetime Florida resident, and she grew up in Tavares, FL. She was an electronic engineer at Siemens Corporation. Mirl was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution Florida Chapter and Mensa International. Mirl was a bird watcher and enjoyed nature. In her younger years she enjoyed camping, hunting, boating and hiking in the Ocala National Forest. She was an avid fan of Alabama Football, "Roll Tide". Mirl is predeceased by her partner, Carolyn "Carol" Britton and siblings Robert Earl Williamson (twin brother), Edward Lee Williamson, Lucille Roman, Benny Williamson, T.J. Williamson, Willie Bashor, Toby Williamson, and Monnie Stark. She is survived by her sisters Jennie Owens of Leesburg, FL and Emmy Brinson of Umatilla, FL and by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Memorial service will be held at Harden-Pauli Funeral Home in Eustis, on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at 10:00 AM. As per Mirl’s wishes, there will be no graveside service. Memorial donations may be made to the National Audubon Society https://www.audubon.org/.
