Eva H. Cox

Eva H. Cox, 86, of Tavares, FL died on Friday, September 11, 2009. Born and lived in Waycross, GA, untill she moved to Central Florida in 1945. She was a Registered Nurse and was of Protestant Faith. She was active in Florida Nursing Associations. She was associated with Florida Hospital Waterman for many years. She helped to open the first Blood Bank in Lake County. She was also associated with the Lake County Health Department. She was active with the Lake Coutny School Board in the immunization of young children. She helped to start the first Cardiac Vascular Screening of Lake County. She is survived by Daughters-Carly Phillips of Mount Dora, FL, Dody Cox of Tavares, FL, Kathy Jensen of Port Richey, FL and Marty Panone of Marietta, GA; Brother-Bob Hand of Wichita Falls, TX; Sister-Elizabeth Walker of Tavares, FL; 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
