Emilie Saikaly Asbate

Emilie Saikaly Asbate, aged 98, of Eustis, Florida, peacefully passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2025 surrounded by 4 generations of family. She was born in the countryside of Lebanon. Emilie immigrated to the US in 1959 and settled in Miami and later moved to Ft. Lauderdale. In 2004, she found her way to Eustis. She embraced her role as a devoted homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother becoming the families Matriarch. Emilie is survived by her two sons, Louis B. (Dawn) Asbate, Jr. of Davie, FL, and George M. (Pamela) Asbate of Eustis, FL. She was blessed with four grandchildren, Brianna Asbate, Tyler Asbate, Emily Demeter, and Michael Asbate, and took great joy in her three great-grandchildren, Georgia, Francesca, and Stella. A Funeral Mass honoring Emilie's life will be held at St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church, 218 Ocklawaha, Eustis, Fl 32726 on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at 6:00 PM. Interment will follow at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery in North Lauderdale on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at 2:00 PM. Emilie’s life was a testament to love and devotion, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered.
